Business Manager

Janice brings ten years experience as a Financial Controller performing multi-company cash flow management; implementation and enforcement of proper accounting controls and processes to ensure accurate and timely financial statement reporting; staff management, mentoring, and training; performing multi-state and UK payroll processing and reporting; and creating financial data modeling used for budgeting, forecasting, and planning. Janice’s other work experiences include two years experience as a Chief Operating Officer responsible for client/vendor contract management (negotiation, implementation, administration); ensuring all Proposals, SOWs, and Change Orders included proper scoping, pricing, scheduling, risk assessment, quality assurance, and management; implementing proper project cost management to maximize profits and client satisfaction, and ensure timely delivery. Three years experience as a Sage MAS90 Accounting Software Consultant managing implementation/migration projects, training end users, and providing technical support. And, nine years as a sole proprietor specializing in the training and support of small business computerized accounting software for a wide range of privately owned small businesses using Peachtree, QuickBooks, and MAS90.

Janice’s educational credentials include a Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting concentration from Saint Edwards’ University in Austin, Texas; a Bachelor of Arts degree, Accounting from Saint Edwards’ University, and a Certified Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute. Janice served as a Researcher for St Edwards’ Ethics in Business Awards in 2004-2005 and has been a Volunteer Income Tax Assistant for Foundation Communities Tax Centers, Austin since 2010.

Janice lives in Austin, is an active triathlete and marathoner, having completed over 20 marathons, Ironman Florida 08, and Ironman Texas 11 and many smaller triathlons. Janice is also a head running coach for the Austin Fit Fall Marathon training program. Her son, Jason is an assistant service manager for an apartment property management company in Austin, and her daughter, Holli lives in Venice, CA and is an assistant to a fashion designer in Los Angeles.
